New Etsy Store...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I have been enjoying a few day off of sewing, but plan on getting back to work tomorrow. A few remaining bags to be "officially" caught up. I want to make lots of new bags and restock my etsy store as well. I have lots of new fabric to choose from and hope to book some parties for January very soon. Call me to set up a date!

Check out this new etsy store that makes fun bowls out of vinyl records. My son is in college and trying to make some extra money for school and decided to venture into the etsy world. Check out his new etsy store, RecycledRock. Right now he is making the vinyl bowls, but will be adding record and album clocks to his store very soon.

A peek at my mess...

My day started early, I drove Jim to work in Lapwai because of the weather. We only have one 4x4 and I'm back home to work on the last remaining bags due this weekend for Christmas. A lot of late nights have been spent in my studio and I try to make it comfy by having my favorite diet coke, eating lots of oreo truffles (my waistline is showing it) and watching a lot of tv in front of my sewing machine. I love my customers and love sewing, but I am ready for a 2 week vacation. As I say that I am also ready to book parties for next year. Call me!
I am still offering free shipping through tonight at my etsy store and I have several purses marked down.
Enjoy a peek into my messy sewing room.

Added some new links

Check out on the right side "Places I like to Visit" and visit some of the new blog links.

Portabellopixie is a gal from Idaho who designs fabric for Michael Miller. You may recognize her fabric on some of my bags. Her first collection is called Ginger Blossom and I use her fabrics often. If you live in Lewiston, you can find her fabric at Becky's Fabric.

One The Dot Creations, I love visiting because she finds the best stuff for sale on etsy. She is featuring etsy sellers by doing a series called "Twelve Days of Christmas".

How About Orange is a terrific graphic designer and purse maker. She has a lot of great tutorials and downloads on her blog as well.

Little Birdie Secrets is a new blog for me. She has great tips and tricks up her sleeve. Her blog this morning featured a no sew scarf to make! She also has an etsy store as well you should visit.

If you have a blog, send me your link and I would love to add it.

Make your tissue cozy...

Its so cold and your tissues in your purse are freezing! They need a supercute tissue cozy to keep them warm. I just listed several on etsy this morning. They are only $4.00 and remember I am offering 15% off all accessories this week! Great stocking stuffer. If you would like one to match your purse, just ask.

I have been making handbags like crazy and not having time to take pictures. So enjoy pics of my new tissue cozies.

Keep warm!

Yummy new fabric!!

Purchased from Fabric Supplies By Charlie and Lindsey

I have some new fabric ordered and I can't wait to make new purses with it. The top pic is a Valerie Wells medallian print in Teal. The other fabrics are from a new collection from Michael Miller fabrics called Andalucia. I love the bold prints in hot pink, chocolate brown contrasting with the orange and light green. These will make some fun combinations!

If you love these fabrics as much as I do, contact me so I can put in your customer order.

I am booking purse parties for January now. As a hostess you receive 15% of total sales as a credit toward your purchase at the party and for each party booked at your party, I will give you a $10 credit to spend at their party. Be the first to book a party for the new year. Turnaround time is quicker because I am all caught up! Give me a call.

These is are new in the Designs By Jamie shop. They are a heavy duty clear vinyl business card holder. Great for business cards, gift cards, your credit card and ID when you don't want to carry a purse. Two inside pockets. I have inserted either a decorative scrapbook paper or fabric to accent the case and of course they are removable and can be changed if you wish.

They measure 3 7/8" W x 2 3/4"L when closed.

Come see me at the LCSC Craft Show...

I hope you will be able to come out Saturday and enjoy all the crafters at the LCSC Craft Show in Lewiston. It runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m and is located at the LCSC Activity Center at 500 8th Avenue. My booth will be located in the Auxilary Gym. This is one of the last craft shows of the season before Christmas and an excellent place to find quality handmade items for your Christmas gift giving.

I have new purses made that you can take home with you that day and lots of accessories that are great for gifts for friends and yourself. I also will have gift certificates available. A great option if you aren't sure what to get someone. Its fun after you give your certificate, schedule a time with your relative or girlfriend and come over to pick out fabric to custom design their own handbag.

So I have to get back to sewing. Stop by and say hi!
