Last purse party complete...

As many of you know I will be moving this Summer from Lewiston and moving to the Oklahoma City area. Designs by Jamie will continue there and I'm excited for some new opportunities for my business there.

I want to thank all the ladies in the Lewiston and Clarkston area that have helped me make my business a success. From my first purse party with Kristi O. to my last with Lucinda. I appreciate each and everyone of my hostesses. Also I appreciate all the girls who continue to be repeat customers and come to me when they need a new bag. Its always flattering to me to hear that someone spotted a "Jamie" bag in town, sometimes even in Spokane. Your support means the world to me. I may continue to have my booth at Morgans Alley after I leave, but I haven't decided for sure. I will continue my online business and I am just an email or call away if you want to place a custom order or just to chat.

I will not be doing anymore purse parties because I am getting my house ready to sell. But I will be involved with a couple of events coming up in the next few months where I will have lots of new items for sell. First our sorority Delta XI is hosting a Ladies Day Out on March 13th from 10-4 at St. Stanislaus Gym. Over 20 vendors and crafters showing off their wares. All proceeds from event will benefit the Lewis-Clark Military Support Group. Then of course is Ladies Night Out in May. The date is not to be determined. Of course for now, I am having fun keeping my booth stocked with new items in Morgans Alley Crafters Marketplace.

If you haven't been to the Morgan's Alley Marketplace, you must go. They have the halls decked out for Christmas and my booth is ready for you to visit. Lots of checkbook covers, key fobs, and scrabble tile pendants which make great gifts for Christmas.

New Moon Pendants and lots of new fabrics!

The sewing room is a mess and thread is tracked throughout the house. That means I have been busy sewing and preparing for the holiday shopping season. I am working on making lots of new items to sell at the Marketplace and Etsy.

With the New Moon premier coming up on November 20th, we have been making and selling scrabble tile pendants with a Twilight or New Moon theme. Pictured above are some of my bestsellers, but I have many images to choose from and can custom make a pendant for you. Turnaround time for scrabble tile pendants is 3-5 days. In addition to Twilight there are many other fun images and themes are available to choose from. Peace and 70's theme images are popular, along with inspirational sayings, christmas, fun tween images, etc.

Also pictured some new fabrics I have to choose from. The bottom images are from Amy Butlers new "Love" collection and they are gorgeous. This collection I have features great colors of tangerine and lime. The middle images are called Flourish and Nature-ology. Love the brown with blues. This Sunday is the deadline for custom orders for Christmas.

I have had to cancel two craft shows I was going to participate in - the Armory this weekend and Clarkston High School. I have a great need to relax and just have fun and be creative, not stressed this Christmas. As I said I am still working hard and will be adding lots of new items to my booth at Morgan's Alley Marketplace. There will be an Holiday Open House on Thanksgiving weekend and I will provide the details of this event later. Please stop by and visit.

Women's Connection Purse Auction

Its that time of year again and November 17th is the date for the Women's Connection 6th Annual Purse Auction. Grab your girlfriends and join us for a very fun event.

Social Hour & Preview start at 6 p.m. with live auction starting at 7 p.m.

There are door prizes and a silent auction.
Tickets available at the YWCA or the Clarkston Chamber for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00

All proceeds benefit the YWCA Twist Conference and the domestic violence shelter. If you have a new or slightly used quality purse or other contribution to donate, drop it by the YWCA by November 12th.

Morgan's Alley Marketplace at 301 Main Street in Lewiston opened yesterday. I have been working hard to sew new items to fill my little space. I call it my little shop. Not all the vendors are finished setting up their booths, but there will be crafters selling jewelry, paintings, flower arrangements, vintage collectibles, candles, cards and more.

I am still offering purse parties and also hope to work with the tea room downstairs and the wine bar to offer purse parties there as well. If that is something you are interested in let me know. The holiday are coming soon and October is my deadline for custom orders for Christmas. So now is the perfect time to schedule your purse party.

I'm ready for Fall...

The weather gets cooler and my thoughts are on holidays, craft shows and fun. I have been buying lots of new fabric for Fall and having fun creating new purses and accessories from the fabrics. Great colors, blacks, purples, fuschia, yellows and greys. Those seem to be the "in" colors at the moment. My brown and pink and aqua polka dot fabric continues to be a customer favorite.

I'm excited about a new venture and a little bit stressed as well. There is a new crafters marketplace that is opening next Tuesday, September 15th in Morgans Alley on the 2nd floor. They are offering booth space to vendors to sell their vintage collectibles and crafts. I love that building with the large windows and brick walls. So I jumped at the chance to sell my goods there. There is a tea room downstairs as well as a new wine/coffee shop. I'm hoping to work with both of these businesses and offer purse parties in the building. A tea party and purse party combo, a perfect girls day out. So I'm working 24/7 sewing purses for the booth and my custom orders as well. I'll give you more info on the opening later, now I have to sew!
